# Black Friday embroidery machine deals: how to shop them without overpaying
Updated October 23, 2026 By [EmbroideryWise Editorial Team](https://embroiderywise.com/about/) [How we research](https://embroiderywise.com/how-we-research/)

Prices are approximate and change often, so check the current price before you buy.

## Key takeaways

- This guide has not verified 2026 Black Friday embroidery machine prices. This page contains no deal prices.
- Pick the field size first: The Brother PE545 and SE700 are 4 x 4, and the PE900 is 5 × 7.
- A discount only matters against the regular price. Check Brother''s product page and today''s price at the retailer.
- Check what is in the box and the warranty. Brother''s warranty statement ties coverage to the end-use purchaser and an authorized seller.

This guide has not verified any 2026 Black Friday embroidery machine offers and does not list deal prices or historical sale prices. What we can do is more useful: help you decide which machine you want before the sales start, tell you what Brother’s own pages say you get in the box, explain what the warranty covers and where a bargain can quietly void it, and give you a method for judging a price when you see one. Check today’s price before you buy.

## What should I decide before Black Friday?

Decide the field size and the machine type first. A good price on the wrong machine is still the wrong machine, and sales make that mistake easy because they put a time limit on a decision that deserves a calm look.

The field size is the maximum embroidery area, and it limits what you can make in one hooping. Brother’s entry-level machines have a 4 by 4 inch field. According to Brother’s product pages, the PE545 has a 4 by 4 inch maximum embroidery area with a 6.4 by 4.0 inch work area, and the SE700 has a 4 by 4 inch area too. The step up is the PE900, which Brother lists with a 5 by 7 inch embroidery area and embroidery speeds up to 650 stitches per minute. A 4 by 4 field covers monograms, patches, pocket logos and small appliques. A 5 by 7 field fits a bigger design on a shirt chest, a tote or a pillow panel without splitting the design across hoopings. Our [4 by 4 vs 5 by 7 hoop guide](https://embroiderywise.com/posts/4x4-vs-5x7-embroidery-hoop/) explains which fits your projects.

The machine type is the second decision. The PE545 and PE900 are embroidery-only machines. The SE700 is a combined sewing and embroidery machine, which Brother describes as having over 103 built-in sewing stitches and 10 styles of one-step auto-size buttonholes in addition to 135 built-in embroidery designs. If you already own a sewing machine, an embroidery-only machine is the simpler choice, and if you do not, the combination machine gives you both in one footprint, with the trade-off that it is a single machine doing two jobs.

## What do the three machines include?

The following is from Brother’s [PE545](https://www.brother-usa.com/p/sewing-embroidery/PE545), [SE700](https://www.brother-usa.com/p/sewing-embroidery/SE700) and [PE900](https://www.brother-usa.com/p/sewing-embroidery/PE900) product pages, not from a retailer, and it is worth reading before a sale because bundles differ.

The PE545, according to Brother, has 135 built-in designs, made up of 75 motif designs and 60 alphabet and frame designs, a 3.7 inch color display, built-in wireless LAN, a USB port, and an embroidery drag and drop feature to position designs on screen. The carton lists the embroidery foot, needle set, bobbins including pre-wound embroidery bobbins in 90 weight, a medium embroidery frame set at 4 by 4 inches, an accessory bag, a dust cover, and an operation manual and quick reference guide.

The SE700, according to Brother, has 135 built-in embroidery designs, 10 built-in embroidery fonts, over 103 built-in sewing stitches, a 3.2 by 1.8 inch LCD display and wireless LAN. Its carton includes a set of sewing feet in addition to the embroidery foot, a twin needle, and the same 4 by 4 inch medium embroidery frame. Brother also points to its iBroidery platform, with over 5,000 designs, and the Artspira app for drawing and transferring designs.

The PE900, according to Brother, has 193 built-in designs and 13 built-in fonts, wireless LAN and a Color Sort feature that reorders the stitching of multi-color designs to reduce color changes. Its carton lists a large embroidery frame set at 5 by 7 inches, four bobbins, a 90 weight white embroidery bobbin thread and the usual accessories.

| Machine | Type | Field | Built-in designs |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [PE545](https://embroiderywise.com/machines/brother-pe545/) | Embroidery only | 4 x 4 in | 135 |
| [SE700](https://embroiderywise.com/machines/brother-se700/) | Sewing and embroidery | 4 x 4 in | 135 |
| [PE900](https://embroiderywise.com/machines/brother-pe900/) | Embroidery only | 5 x 7 in | 193 |

Specs change with revisions, so confirm them on Brother’s current page before you buy. If you are on a tight budget, read our [best budget embroidery machine](https://embroiderywise.com/posts/best-budget-embroidery-machine/) guide first.

## How do I tell if a sale price is real?

Start with the regular price. Open Brother’s product page, and the retailer’s page, and write down the listed price now, weeks before the sales. That note is your baseline. A “was” price on a retailer page is the retailer’s claim, and it can be an inflated reference. Your note is better evidence.

Then check the exact model. Brother sells similar machines under similar numbers, and a bargain on an older model may be a clearance of a machine with fewer features. If you are looking at a PE545, make sure it is not an earlier PE535 listed under a similar name. Our [PE535 vs PE545](https://embroiderywise.com/posts/brother-pe535-vs-pe545/) page shows the difference.

Check what is included. The cartons above list hoops, bobbins and feet, and a bundle or a third-party listing can leave some out or add things you do not need. A lower price with a missing hoop is not a lower price.

Check the seller, because this one affects your warranty.

## What does the Brother warranty actually cover?

[Brother’s home sewing warranty](https://www.brother-usa.com/VirData/Content/en-US/HAD/WarrantyDocuments/WarrantyStatements/HomeSewing.pdf), which its product pages summarize as a 1, 2 and 25 year limited warranty, is specific about what it covers. The statement says the warranty period is one year for parts and labor from the purchase date, that electronic pattern control and selection components are provided free of charge for two years (replacement labor excluded), and that head parts such as shafts and connecting rods are covered for twenty-five years, with exceptions for needles, light bulbs, belts, pulleys, the motor and replacement labor.

The statement also lists what voids it. The warranty is given only to the end-use purchaser, and it is void if you did not buy the product from an authorized Brother reseller within the United States, if it was cleaned, serviced or modified by anyone other than an authorized service representative, if the serial number was altered, if the product was abused or damaged, or if non-Brother parts, supplies, power supplies or accessories were used. To claim, you need a dated bill of sale showing the purchase was in the United States.

That has direct consequences for a sale. A very low price from an unfamiliar seller, a marketplace listing, or a used machine from an individual may not come with coverage, and the saving can disappear with one repair. If you are shopping abroad, the statement is explicit about the United States. Before you buy from anyone other than a well-known retailer, check that they are an authorized Brother reseller on Brother’s own site or by contacting Brother.

## Is a used machine a better Black Friday move?

Sometimes. A used machine can give you a bigger field for less, but the warranty is given only to the end-use purchaser, and Brother’s statement voids coverage if the machine was not bought from an authorized reseller, so do not assume secondhand coverage. Ask Brother to confirm eligibility for the exact purchase and receipt. Wear matters too, and embroidery machines are used hard. Our [used embroidery machine checklist](https://embroiderywise.com/posts/used-embroidery-machine-checklist/) walks through what to inspect before you pay.

## When should I check prices?

Start a few weeks early. Write down the regular price of your chosen model on Brother’s page and at one or two retailers. In the days around Black Friday and Cyber Monday, compare against your note and against Brother’s own store. Retailers often start earlier in November and run through Cyber Monday, so you can check more than once without rushing. Check a current retailer or Brother listing before relying on any offer.

## Should I wait for Black Friday at all?

If you already know which machine you need, waiting can make sense. If you need it for a project with a deadline, or you are not sure which machine you want, do not let a sale date decide for you. The best price is the one you pay for a machine you will use. A thorough comparison now, with the hoop size, type, included accessories and seller sorted, means that when a deal appears you can say yes in minutes.

## Common questions

When is Black Friday 2026? The day after US Thanksgiving. Retailers often start sales earlier in November and run them through Cyber Monday. We have not seen embroidery machine deals announced for 2026.

Which embroidery machines go on sale? We cannot say. The PE545, SE700 and PE900 are the Brother models this site covers.

Is a deal worth waiting for? If you know which machine you need, it can be. A sale only counts against the regular price, so write that down now.

Does the warranty carry over to a used machine? Brother’s statement says it is given only to the end-use purchaser and is void if the product was not bought from an authorized reseller in the United States.

## Bottom line

Choose the machine for your projects, record its regular price, check what is in the box, and check authorized-seller status and the warranty conditions before buying. Treat any Black Friday price as good only if it beats your note. Check today’s price before you buy.
